Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Last Post of the Year!

What a crazy year it has been! Here I sit with only 1 hour left in the year 2010.  My 3 three year olds are sleeping, my 14 year old is playing video games and Dave is upstairs playing on his computer to pass time until midnight.

This was a year with huge changes -
Dave retired after serving in the Navy for 20 years in June, we had several stressful months while he was trying to find work through the fall, he started working for QuEST Global in early Dec and we moved out of housing into a rental house in Gales Ferry right before xmas.

Lucas started high school in Ledyard in the fall and enjoyed playing on the freshman soccer team.  His grades are continuing to improve and we hope to see many more A's on his report cards this spring!  Lucas has really turned into a teen this year.  He is now taller than me and showing a little attitude.  He loves to play video games, listen to his ipod and text his friends.  and his appetite is in full swing  - All signs that we have a teenager in the house!

The triplets have had an amazing year.  They went from 2 year old toddlers into little 3 year old preschoolers!  Their vocabulary is going thru the roof and their personalities are really shining now.  Logan is my little athlete, Will is the scholar and puzzle master, and Jess is the Diva.   Watching them learn something new everyday has been just awesome and some days exhausting for me!

What about me?  The last 6  months have been very stressful, I have been having trouble sleeping, but I think things are settling down and I am really excited to be in our new house and making it a home!  I have enjoyed doing the 365 blog and I think that I am going to do it again in 2011!! I am also making a resolution to be MUCH better at updating this blog!  We are using the blogs as electronic scrapbooks and 2010 is a little "thin" here, but this next year will be better!

HAPPY NEW YEAR from the Dudley Crew !

Monday Update - It's Been a Busy Week!

I knew it was going to be cray busy and it has been! Dave started work last Monday and loves it!!  He is working at the Pratt & Whitney plant on prototype jet engines! He works a full day and doesn't get home until almost 5:30.  The kids were having a rough transition to him not being home with us all day, but by Friday were doing better.
Saturday night was our holiday party with friends who are more like family!  We took the kids over earlier in the week and put up the xmas tree.  They loved being able to help decorate this year.  The tree definitely has more ornaments on the lower branches! The Roachs, Boyers, and Cournoyers all came over to party at the new house since there is way more room.  Dave and Travis spent the morning moving our dining room over so that we could have somewhere to sit and eat. When we all get together we are almost 20 people!  There was tons of great food and even better conversation.  The kids were excited to see the presents under the tree and kept asking when it was going to be time to unwrap!  LOL
The movers were here for a pre inspection on Wed and came Friday and worked all day packing up boxes.  The house is a maze of boxes right now. I finished laundry early yesterday so Dave could get the washer and dryer ready for the move.  The movers should be here shortly to start day 2 of our move and tonight will be the 1st night sleeping at the new house!!!
The camera got packed by mistake so no pics this post, but I promise to find it and get a few shots up here as soon as possible.

Monday Morning Update - Last week at this house!

We had a very busy week!  Dave was supposed start work, but they called and asked him to start today instead. He was nervous when he left today, but I know he will do great!  Having him home for the week worked out since he was able to go sign the lease for the new place and organize the move! I was really hoping to be in the new place by xmas and I got great news - The movers will be here on Friday! I have been very busy both online and on the phone getting everything updated with school, post office, insurance, etc.  It is taking a long time!  We get the keys on Wed and I am planning to go over and clean before all our stuff gets there.  The movers are planning to pack Fri and Mon and then deliver everything to the new place on Tuesday! We are still planning to go to PA on Thursday for xmas and then tackle cleaning the old place after we get back since final inspection is Jan 3rd.  I have called in my awesome babysitter Jesssica to help me with the kids on Fri and Mon.  She will be keeping them entertained and out of the way while I handle the packers.

To take a break from all the moving craziness we drove up to Bright Nights in Springfield MA.  The kids loved it!  It is about an hour away so we left after nap and stopped for dinner on the way.   The light displays were amazing!  The kids were so excited. Jess kept talking and pointing out things she saw - it was soo cute!

I also got our holiday cards ordered this week.  I will post after I know most of the family receives theirs, since I don't want to spoil it for them!

That is it for now. I will take lots of pics of the new place and post them when I can!  Please pray for a smooth move for us!

It's Monday and I have More News!

I have exciting news to get to in a minute, but I just realized while updating the 365 blog, that I never posted about Thanksgiving.  We traveled down to PA and stayed at Grandpa's house.  My sister and neice traveled up and my 98 year old grandma was with us on turkey day!  It even snowed on Thanksgiving! Dave fried the turkey - it was yummy.  My dad did an amazing job with the rest of the meal.  I definitely over ate - it was all so yummy!  It was great to see my little ones playing with their great grandma.  My sister and I were out the door at 2:30 am for some Black Friday shopping and scored lots of good deals!  We were back home by 6:30 and Dave let me sleep in. The kids slept well over night in their peapods, but did not nap well at all so were super crabby every evening.  We went down on Wed and came back home on Sat.  The kids traveled well and were back to their normal nap/sleep schedule in a day or so.

The exciting news - we found a  4 bedroom house to rent in Ledyard!!!  We should be signing the lease later today and starting to move in Dec15th!!!!  The Navy owes us a move, so Dave is meeting with personal property on Thursday to get dates for the move.  We are super excited and even though it will mean a crazy few weeks and very busy xmas, we are really ready to get on with our new civilian life!

Even more exciting news - No one cried when we went to see Santa!

Spaghetti - A Triplet Joke!!!

A wealthy man was having an affair w/an Italian woman for several years. One night, during one of the their rendezvous, she confided in him she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a large sum of money if she would to to Italy to secretly have the child. If she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18. She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discreet, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and write "Spaghetti" on the back. He would then arrange for the child support payments to begin.

One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife. "Honey," she said, "you recieved a very strange post card today." "Oh, just give it to me and I'll explain it" he said.

The wife watched as her husband read the card, turned white and fainted.

On the back of the card was written: "Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti. Two w/meatballs and one w/out."

Dave got a Job Offer!!!!

WOO HOO!!!!!
Dave was offered a position with Quest to contract out to Pratt and Whitney in Middletown CT!  He will be getting an email with all the details early next week and starts training on Monday Dec. 6th!!!

It is a 45 minute commute for now and he will train on 1st shift for a few weeks and then transfer to 2nd shift and work 3pm to 1130pm.  Even better is that he already knows that he gets Christmas off!  The plant shuts down from Dec 24 thru the 31st.  He won't get paid for the week this year since he will have just started, but at least we know for next year!  He is very excited and it is a HUGE stress off of us!!!!

We still need to be moved by Jan 3rd so now the next big step is finding a rental place for a few months with the plan to buy a house next summer! We want Lucas to finish the school year at Ledyard, so we plan on finding something local for now.  Ideally we would like his commute to be no longer than 30 min so that will be our strategy when we plan our house search this spring!

Dave has already talked to personal property and they say it will only be 1 or two weeks to move us once we find a place since it will be a local move!  Having the Navy move us this time is a big stress reliever for me with xmas coming!  I know it will be crazy, but I know that we can do it!! ( with help from my local friends of course!! )

Anyway, thanks to all who have been praying for us and now you know what we are THANKFUL for this Thanksgiving!!!!!!

Moms of multiples are freaks of nature

I know that you want an update, but there is nothing to really update! Major stress and looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with my dad and sister!!! We are leaving on Wed at nap and with the holiday short work week, not much to do about the job or house hunts! Saw this on a fellow triplet mom's facebook account and it made me laugh so much I had to repost it here! This actually has happened to me a little bit!

Setbacks = Major Stress!

Well, Dave got word on Monday that he was not offered that job he really wanted in NY! He and I were devastated! I was soo optimistic that I even sent him looking at houses in the area after the all day interview! My cousin was excited at the prospect of having us near and I was very excited to be so close to family! However, it was not meant to be. Dave and I are now under some major stress! We are trying to figure out if we should stay here in CT, move back to PA or what.

Dave has been applying for jobs with the local stores and sending many online applications out this week. He may accept one and then work on going back to school and tyring to apply for the better jobs in a few months. We would need to rent out here somewhere and let Lucas finish the school year. We may move down to PA to be near my sister, or near other family in the northeast. Since we need to move ASAP that puts Dave and I under some major stress and we are having a rough time! I want to be in our new home by xmas since we have final inspection of this house Jan 3rd! The Navy will be able to move us though, so that is one major stress off our backs!

I will keep you posted, but we could definitely use some prayers!!!

16 years!!!

Wow! How is it 16 years already? It seems like just yesterday we were dating while I was finishing my senior year at the University of New Hampshire and Dave was on his very first 6 year enlistment with the Navy!!! I can't imagine my life without him - he has been my rock thru the good times and the bad. We have handled moving to different duty stations every few years, years of infertility, and several long separations just to name a few! My love has continued to grow a little everyday and I am so proud of the great husband, father, and sailor he has become!!!

We are entering a new stage in our lives with his retirement from the Navy this summer and Lucas starting high school, but I am sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us! I mean we have preschool age triplets along with that high schooler! :)

We had a great day! Dave let me sleep in and made breakfast for me. Then we took the trio to their tumbling class, lunch and then home for naps! We relaxed and tried to figure out our evening plans since my friend Jessica Whitcomb was coming over to babysit for us!! We went and ate at a local Japanese Steakhouse for dinner, got ice cream from Coldstone Creamery, stopped at Target for a few items and then Redboxed a movie before we went home!

I am so thankful for everyday we are together and look forward to many, many more years! I LOVE YOU DAVID!!!!!!!!!

Monday Updates

Well, we had another weekend of partying here at the Dudley house as Lucas turned 14 on Friday! We had pizza and cake and Dave took Lucas and his friend out to the movies. His big present was getting his long board back! He had lost it for disobeying the rules of the house.

Saturday was a relaxing morning while Dave got his things ready for his trip to NY. After nap, we met up with Becky Anderson at Harkness Park for the trio's 3 year old, Lucas' freshman and holiday photo shoot! The kids did great and looked sooo cute in their outfits! When she sends me the gallery info I will post since I know I will need help picking which shots to have printed! The weather cooperated and the sun even poked out - it was a little chilly, but the kids did not mind as they were getting fruit snacks and walking around a new park!

We got home ate a quick dinner and then more partying! Family friends came over to help us celebrate with Lucas! He ordered a choc. cake with chocolate icing and dad made it for him! We kept the kids up til 830 in hopes of daylight savings time not throwing a wrench into out fabulous schedule! It almost worked - I was up with them at 7:30 instead of a little after 8, but not too bad compared to some of my other friends whose kids were up before 6! Yikes!

Dave left at nap time yesterday to be in upstate NY for his all day job interview today!!! We should know by Fri if they are offering him the job! He really, really wants it and I want to get out of limbo! lol

I am solo parenting while Dave is in NY for most of the week. He will be looking at prospective houses tomorrow and Wed, so that we can move quickly if they offer him the position! He plans to be back by Thursday afternoon and HE BETTER!! Friday is our anniversary and he promised me a night out and after this week I am definitely going to need it!

Dave's Dive!

As I mentioned on Monday, Dave dove this past Saturday at the Mystic Aquarium for their Halloween event. It was awesome to watch the kids get so excited to see daddy dive with the fish and carve his pumpkin! Not too much else to say so enjoy the photos!

Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treating!!

We had a great weekend! Friday night I had a much needed Mom's night out with one of my best friends. We went out to dinner and people watched at the casino. It was so much fun and nice to have some adult conversation after dealing with crazy toddlers all day!

Friday we also got word that we can stay here in housing until Jan 3rd! That puts a little less stress on our move so we may have time to house hunt instead of apartment hunt after Dave's all day interview in NY next Monday!!!! I have started getting ready for the move - purging, taking down decorations, and cleaning. We have also started telling the trio that we will be moving to a new house and they get new rooms! They seem excited!

On Friday, before I went out we carved pumpkins!
Will hated touching the insides - he was miserable!

Logan and Jess were a little unsure, but got into it and loved carving with dad.

Saturday was a pretty laid back day. My head cold kicked in and we basically lounged around until after dinner. After dinner was a trip to Mystic Aquarium for their evening Halloween event! The kids dressed up in their costumes and we got to watch Dave carve a pumpkin underwater! It was amazing! The whole place was decked out for Halloween - the kids had a blast, but we were home after 8:15 and I had 3 very tired, over stimulated toddlers that were tough to get to bed. I took lots of pics of Dave and want to give him a whole post later this week.

Sunday the kids were excited to go out trick or treating! They practiced all morning! LOL They did great and had fun time! It was very cold and windy, but I was able to layer lots of clothes under their costumes. In another big milestone, we did not use the choo choo wagon! They walked the entire route! We went to a lot more houses than last year too! Will was so excited - he kept saying "I got candy!" every time he left a house. It was too cute.

After a long, cold walk there is nothing better than enjoying some candy!

The Big Checkup!

I took the trio solo today to the doctor for their 3 year old well "baby" visit! It took almost 2 1/2 hours - there was the actual doctor visit, shots, flu mist, blood work and tears involved! However, they were so well behaved and did awesome! I got many compliments from the nurses and lab techs!

First up was the actual doctor visit. They did great and we got their latest stats!

Will - 26.6 lbs (5%) and 3 ft 1/2 inch (20%)

Logan - 29.2 lbs(25%) and 3 ft 3 inches(80%)

Jess - 25 lbs (3%) and 2 ft 11 1/4 inch (10%)

I knew Logan was tall, but holy smokes 80% for height! He is going to be just like his dad. Will falls right in between and on his own curve so no worries. Then at the other end of the spectrum is my peanut princess Jess - she is just so tiny, but going along her own curve so the doc was happy and has no worries at this time. Woo Hoo!!

I got the go ahead to drop the boys to 1 can of pediasure a day and the rest whole milk, while Jess stays at 2 cans and then whole milk. She was happy to see the big kid underwear on everyone, especially the boys, since they just turned 3 and said definitely don't rush the night time training, so pullups for nap and night are ok for now!

She gave everyone a full exam and there is nothing of concern right now! Logan's hernia seems to be healing as he grows so no surgery! After the visit we headed off to the immunization clinic to get a flu mist and 1 vaccine that we missed last checkup since they were sick. They all handled the flu mist well, and hated their shot, but luckily no one cried for long! The tech was smart and did everyone's flu mist first and then the shots.

Then it was off to the pharmacy to pick up some Motrin for all three and Miralax for Will and Jess to help with their constipation issues. The kids made friends and ate a snack while we waited for their prescriptions.

Lastly, off to the lab for some bloodwork. No one was happy and it was getting toward the end of their morning, but they did really well! Will went 1st and cried for awhile, until he figured out he could watch the guy put the blood from his finger into the tubes and was fasinated! lol. Jess did great and hardly cried at all. The best was Logan, who jumped into my arms while Jess was having her turn and he kept saying, "no want a turn!" hahaha It was priceless! He did have his turn and did pretty well.

I treated everyone to their favorite lunch-cheese rollups and tacos from Taco Bell, gave them some motrin and they all had a great nap! Phew!

Tonight they were a little cranky, but I am hoping that they wake up happy! Fingers crossed!

The Trio is Three!!!!

Wow! The kids had an amazing birthday weekend! We went to a playgroup Halloween party on Saturday. Logan refused to wear his costume, but otherwise they all had a great time! It was great to see so many of our playgroup friends, especially since it seems that we will be moving away in a few short weeks!

Dave and I put up the kids big present -
late Saturday night so that it was the 1st thing they saw on Sunday morning -

They played with it all morning! They were laughing and having so much fun that they hardly ate any breakfast. I tried to get them down for a nap at 12:45, but no one really napped for long. I think they were too excited for their party! I got them up at 2:15 and we headed to the party. Jess was having a meltdown since she had no nap, but the boys were excited and ready to go!
They played hard at Stay and Play. We ate pizza, more playing and then cake before running off for even more playing!

We had individual cakes and sang for them all by themselves! It was so great to see the expressions on their faces both when their brother or sister was having their turn and when it was their turn! They did awesome! We went in opposite birth order -

This is one of my favorite photos of the day - Logan NOT using his fork to eat his cake!

After the party, we headed home to open presents and have more pizza and cake with close family friends! The kids loved opening their gifts and playing with all the new toys! It was a long day for them as you can see Logan crashed at the after party!

All in all they had a great time and we will look back on this day spent with family and friends and smile!

The kids have their 3 year checkup tomorrow and I am anxious to see how much everyone has grown. I also think we may need to get a flu shot, but I will post about that later this week!

Monday Update - Birthday Time is almost here!!!

I am in denial. I just can't believe that my little ones turn 3 next Monday!!! They are definitely not babies anymore, but where did the time go and how come it went so fast? They are turning into such great little people. They make me laugh all the time, but also some days they make me want to go spend some time in a padded room! :) LOL

The kids picked the theme for their party - Diego for the boys and Tinkerbell for Jess! We are headed to a local indoor play area on Sunday to celebrate with a few of their friends. I ordered 4 cakes - 3 tiny ones for the kids and 1 big one for everyone else. It is going to be interesting singing the birthday song 3 times this year to give each one their own turn in the spotlight!

OK, enough of the birthday stuff for now - I will post lots of pics after the party and we have their 3 year checkup on Tuesday, so let me tell you about another great Fall weekend here in CT! Saturday we headed up to East Hampton to visit Pumpkintown!

It was a blast! The whole area was covered with all kinds of different pumpkin people and animals! The kids even jumped around in a huge pumpkin bouncer! They had face painting, tube tires to bounce on, and other fun stuff to do!

Sunday was another great day! We went to Lyman Orchard and met up with our friends the Boyers and went thru another huge corn maze and then went off to the fields to pick out 2 big pumpkins to carve this weekend! I have pics but need to get them off the camera so I will update this post later with them!

I have some great new videos to post, but Blogger is giving me some trouble tonight so those will have to wait to later this week - sorry!

WOW! It has been way too long!!

A friend was nice enough to remind me this weekend that my blog has been neglected lately. (Hi Janice!) While I have been trying very hard and doing a good job with my 365 blog, this one has been tough to continue. I have been wanting to write, but with no real news about jobs or houses or our move and also getting very stressed about how we are still stuck in limbo with a deadline of Dec 1 to be out of housing, I just felt like any post would turn out to be rant! I did not want this blog to turn into that so I choose to not write. I apologize to you my faithful readers because I realize now that good or bad, you guys want to know what is happening with us! Can you believe that in just two weeks I will have 3 3 year olds! YIKES!!

So let's get back into this blog! I do have HUGE NEWS - the trio is fully day time potty trained!!!!! Can you tell my excitement? WOO HOO!!! It only took the boys 4 days like Jess and we have not had an accident in weeks!!! We do use pullups for naps and night time because all three are such deep sleepers and usually wake up very wet. However 6 pullups a day is way, way better than all those diapers!

The boys also started seeing Ms. Melissa for their speech delay a couple months ago. They go once a week for 30 minutes each and it has made a BIG difference! Everybody goes to St. Marks in Mystic on Mondays for a toddler playgroup! I am free from 9 - 1230 for the next 2 weeks, as once they turn 3 they can't go! :(

We signed them up for a tumbling tots class on Fridays and it started 2 weeks ago. They have a blast and run around non stop! We also attend a story time at the library on Wednesdays so you can see that we like to keep them busy!

Lucas is enjoying his freshman year at Ledyard High School! The homework load has definitely gotten bigger and is causing him some problems, but otherwise he is making friends, playing soccer on the freshman team, and doing ok.

Dave has had several interviews, the last ones were a week ago in upstate NY! He has 2 companies that should be calling this week to schedule all day interviews! Both companies are located in upstate New York so a move there seems to be in our future! We have cousins who live very close to the one company so I am rooting for that one to offer Dave the job! It will be weird to live within a few minutes from family - that has never happened thru out our married life!

What's up with me? Not a whole lot! I am getting very stressed and nervous, but trying to keep it together and be the best wife and mother I can be! Some days I do a better job than others, but otherwise excited for this next big change in our lives!

OK, that covers everyone for now. I feel the need to post some pics now and close by saying that I will be back to regular posts on Mondays and Thursdays!!

How cute are they? This was this summer at the zoo! They love going there and I am glad it is only 45 minutes away!

My poor Jess! Now that we don't wear diapers pants just won't stay up! These are 24 month size pants that I have to roll up to keep them up and she doesn't like them rolled!

Logan just spending an afternoon chillin'!

They love their new Halloween pj's! This is going to be a great holiday season - they are excited to see the decorations and have already been practicing their "trick or treat"! It is going to be just awesome to see them get excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

My New Favorite Quote!

If being a twin is, as you say, tantamount to having "the perfect
companion, confidant and soul mate," imagine the experience of
triplicity. While fully appreciating the intimacy that twins share, we
triplets often feel a bit superior in these matters. After all, we've
done them one better. Being a triplet means more than just having a
playmate: it means having your own gang. -Gerry Kosanovic

Potty Training - It's The Boys Turn!!!

Well as you can see we stocked up on big kid underwear and pull ups on Thursday to start potty training the boys.  Jess has been doing great with only an accident every now and then.  The boys have been peeing in the potty at least 3 times a day for about a week and a half so we thought  it was time to try a "potty camp" this weekend!  The boys were super excited to pick out their big boy underwear and love wearing them!  We had a weekend with not alot going on so that we could be home to train.  I am very excited to report that they have been doing great!  I think that Will will be done first, but only because Logan hates to stop playing to go potty!  Will hates feeling wet and has been catching himself and getting to the potty! They each had a couple accidents on Fri, but Saturday each went dry almost all day! Sunday was even better with only one accident all day between the 3 of them!   The diaper days are behind us!!!  We are using the pull ups for naps and bedtime since they are very sound sleepers and almost always wake up wet.  This was a problem for me as a little kid so I am definitely not pushing the issue yet.  Besides only going thru 6 pull ups a day is way better than all the diapers we used to buy!!  :)

Dave should hear from Electric Boat  this week!  Prayers Please!!!

Monday, August 2, 2010

How can it be August already!

July went by way too fast!  Dave had an interview at Electric Boat last week and it went very well!  We won't know if he got the job for another two weeks, but he feels very good about it!  Now we can get ready to house hunt!  :)  Lucas spent the last week of July at a 4 H overnight camp!  He has been going every year since he turned 8.  He always has a great time and we enjoy some peace and quiet!  The little kids are doing great.   We just finished 2 weeks of swim lessons. Jess got moved up to level 1 and the boys stayed in the parent/ tot class.  Everyone did great!  Jess was not very happy about being by herself in class, but warmed up to swimming by herself!  With the nice summer days, we have been going to a lake on the Navy base and all the kids love it!  Lucas swims the entire time and the little kids play in the sand and love splashing in the water.   In other exciting Dudley family news, the boys have really started to take an interest in  the potty!  Will and Logan both go pee at least two times a day on the potty!  I think we may try a boot camp with them very soon!  It will be awesome to not have any more diapers to buy!!

Well, that is the latest and greatest from here.  Prayers please that Dave lands this job at EB,  and we find a house in ledyard to move into very soon after that!!

Potty Training Update!!
Jess is doing great and only wearing pullups for nap and bed. She has not had any accidents in over 2 weeks!

Still Stuck in Limbo and I Hate It!!!

Life has gotten crazy around here! Not too much to really report other than - Dave is still looking for work, the house hunt is on hold until Job is found, and the kids are driving me crazy! That is it in a nutshell! Jess had her surgery and I plan another blog post specifically, but the end result - she is fine!!!

So sorry for the lack of posting, but with all the chaos around here and my mom's angelversary on July 21st I am just not myself! :(   I will get back to regular posting shortly! Thanks for being so patient!

Faker Triplet Mom stole photos off this blog!

You read that right - Finley Raine Fletcher-Andernada stole profile pics of Will and Jess off this blog and was using them on facebook and claiming them as part of her trio! She says she is a teen mom with triplets on several websites, but she is a FAKER!!! I have reported her and she apologized, but it made me realise that there are crazy people out there and that my blogs need to be more secure. I have added some security, but will be adding photos only after I get some watermarking software!

I just wanted you all to be aware of what was happening and why I was not posting! I hope to be back in a few days!

Jess' Big Move!

Doesn't she look cute! If you are my friend on facebook then you already now this, but I have been noticing for the last few weeks that Jess and the boys were taking forever to go to sleep at nap time and bedtime. They were playing around for over an hour some days and that means a much shorter nap and they would get up very cranky! We were always planning on moving Jess to her own room, but were hoping to wait until we moved. Other triplet moms with same age triplets have been having similar issues and said separation was the way to get nap back! I did not want Jess to think the move was a punishment and Aunt Jen had a great idea - move her into a big girl bed! So we talked it up big, went and let her pick out new bed sheets and a bed rail and last Saturday at nap we made the move! I am very excited to say it has gone very smooth! Logan and Will were a little upset the first few times, asking for Jess, but they have been sleeping like champs! I have my 3 hour nap back and still get 11 - 12 hours a night from them!! Jess has done great too! Since she is technically in the playroom, I was expecting lots of getting out of bed, but so far *knock on wood* nothing! She has stayed in bed. She definitely takes longer to fall asleep, maybe 30 - 45 minutes to the boys 10, but she just sits in bed and plays with her stuffed animals until she falls asleep!
