Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Monday Morning Updates - Fun Weekend - lots of pics!

It was a fun weekend. The weather was great Friday Afternoon and Saturday so we took the triplets outside for some playtime. We used our new climber and tried out the sidewalk chalk! They had a great time. We also had our first swim lesson Sat morning and no one cried! Jess is still our water baby and loved the whole lesson. Logan took a bit to get used to it, but he seemed to enjoy it. Will was the most unhappy and spent the whole lesson hanging on for dear life to me. I hope it gets better next week! The other big news - I got out of the house by myself Saturday afternoon! My friend Darcy and I drove to a very cool consignment shop and had fun shopping without kids! I found several good buys and we decided to make it a monthly outing. The men stayed home and watched the kids - found out that they spent nap time playing Wii! They stayed for dinner and it was nice to hang out with friends. Yesterday was a yucky rainy day so we did not do much. We did go buy sand for the basketball hoop and ate lunch at the food court at the mall and let the kids play. They took a great nap afterwards! Now as promised the pics -

17 Months Old!

How is it possible that my crew will be in full toddler hood mode in just a month? That 18 month mark is creeping up on me and I don't want time to go so quick! They are growing and learning so much everyday - it is amazing. Dave and I already wonder where our cute, tiny babies went- we are seeing definite toddler tempers and tantrums already LOL !

Will has a great smile - when you can catch it! He is still the snuggler and is definitely a lover and not a fighter!

Logan is all boy and always on the move - makes getting pics interesting! He shows lots of spunk/attitude and gets frustrated when he can't do something the way he wants!

Jessica is becoming our little lady! She loves to wear necklaces and bracelets made from their toys and loves to look at jewelry! But don't let that cute face fool you- she has quite a temper and throws an Oscar worthy fit when she deems it necessary!

All in all, they are doing great and having lots of fun being 1, but look out world 2 is just around the corner! Happy 17 Months!

Get Down Jessica!

Jess keeps climbing on the desk. I must tell her 20 times to "get down" and move her off and she just keeps climbing back up there! UGH!! I am having one of those mornings of feeling frustrated and just thought I'd share! Hope your morning is going better than mine!

Monday Morning - Finally Have Pics!!

Well, we still don't have the charger for the camera, but Dave was able to find our older digital camera that runs on regular AA batteries. We still don't have many of our pictures hanging and these pics are not the best quality, but I really wanted to get them posted. So without further ado - our new house in pictures! (there are lots - sorry!)

This is the view just as you walk in the front door.

Here is the main living area. We put the tv on the wall so that the trio would leave it alone! LOL

The dining room. Notice how everyone is sitting at the big table! The glass door leads out to the back yard and the other door leads to a huge pantry and then the garage.

My favorite part - the huge kitchen complete with dishwasher and garbage disposal!

The house is like a huge rectangle with a long hall and all the bedrooms run off it. There is a door closing off the bedrooms from the main living area. I love that we can close it and not worry about waking up sleeping toddlers!
Here is the long hall - it is really hard to give you a perspective, but anyway.

Right after you enter the second part of the hall and go left you hit 2 bedrooms Lucas' and the playroom. Here is what Lucas' room looks like. Even though we have only been living here little over a month - his room is getting messy! Typical Teenager!

We turned the fourth bedroom into a playroom for the trio. They love it!

As you head down the hall, you next hit the kids bath on the right and a huge linen closet on the left.

Dave finally figured out how to put all the bath toys in order!

Next down the line is a huge closet on the right which we are using as a game closet and extra storage area and the laundry room on the left.

The last two rooms at the end of the long hall are the master bedroom with full bath on the right and the trio's bedroom on the left. We put up room darkening shades in their bedroom and now they take great naps in the afternoon!

I was able to put vinyl stickers all around their room. I chose characters from Winnie the Pooh.

OK, if you made it this far - Thanks for looking! We have a semi busy week with playgroup on Tuesday and their therapist here on Thursday with an extra PT helper. Saturday we have our 1st swim lesson! Since I am able to post pics now, I promise to put a few in almost every post to make up for the lack of pics lately! Have a great day!

Spring Pics

As you can see from the new header, the photo shoot with the bunnies did not go as well as I would have liked. I really love the pic though and the other one of my favorites is this one-

Logan and Jess did great and took everything in stride, but poor Will had a rough time. I hope that he grows out of this soon (he has a great smile that we never see in the pics) or I may have to pay extra to do a photo shoot here for their 2 year pics! LOL

Someone is getting a Molar!

Jessica is getting her first molar! That makes tooth #9 for her. She has been chewing on her thumbs lots lately. Her molar on the upper right is about halfway through and the upper left gum is getting really hard. Luckily for us, she has not been bothered too much by it and is handling it well. Now, if only Logan would start sprouting some more teeth - LOL!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! And An Update

I have the corned beef simmering on the stove for dinner and can't wait to see what the triplets think!

We had another busy weekend. We went to see the pics at Charleen's on Friday evening - I had to get a group shot with Will screaming, because it was the best of the worst. I also got a cute pic of Jess and Logan together standing near a bunny. I should have them in two weeks and will of course post. We got a lot of shopping done, took the triplets to the local library, bought everyone new shoes since they all went up a size - visited with friends and tried to unpack a few more boxes. We were not able to locate the battery charger yet - so still no pics. I may just go buy a new one- probably would be easier! LOL

The kids swimsuits arrived yesterday and they are awesome! I also ordered a new diaper bag - a skip hop duo double deluxe - it is made for twins and many triplet moms on Triplet Connection love it and I needed something to carry more stuff now that they are bigger! It should be here soon.

The boys had an appointment with their occupational therapist this morning and it went pretty well. She sees Logan 1 X a month and we added Will to be seen. Logan is resolving most of his tight muscle issues and may not need many more visits! GO LOGAN! He does still have the abdominal hernia and the more time passes, the more I fear a surgery will be necessary this fall after he turns 2.
Will has been having some sensory issues and their regular therapist decided to have him checked out. I had to answer a whole ton of questions and in the end we are still not quite sure what to think. He does not fall into any typical category, so it may just be him being him, but I have to watch him more closely during different things to be able to report back next month. Will is doing well otherwise and growing like a weed.

Jess doesn't need any OT, but the therapist always makes time to have her involved. She gets mad otherwise! Her latest thing is to wear a necklace- a ring from a stack toy- around her neck. She would wear it to bed if we let her!

Lucas is doing good in school and seems to be having fun in the new neighborhood. I just had a web cam conversation with Vani and she is excited to get here! I have missed her and seeing her face was great and made my day! OK, I hear the trio getting up, so I better close for now. Have a great day!

How is it Friday already?

This week really seemed to fly by.
Tuesday - The bunny pics were definitely interesting! Will screamed almost the entire time and scared the you know what out of the big rabbit. Meanwhile, Jess even took a few pics holding a little bunny and smiling. Logan was somewhere in between the two- he smiled and petted a little bunny, but when the photographer tried to put a bunny in his lap - he started screaming. Dave and I even sat in a few pics just to try to get Will to calm down for a good pic. In the end, I hope we got a few good shots, we go today to see them.

Wednesday - I finally got the kids back to our weekly playgroup. It was a fun time, but Jess decided to have an upset tummy and threw up all over herself and car seat on the way there- Not fun! The kids had fun playing and I enjoyed the much needed adult conversation! I got them home at nap time and they went to sleep pretty well, but were up in 30 minutes. I had to go back in and restart the music and settle them. They did finally take about a two hour nap and got up around 4.

Thursday - I ordered awesome swimsuits for the trio for the summer from One Step Ahead. They are full body suits that are SPF 50 so I won't need to go crazy with the sunblock! I am excited for them to arrive and for lessons to start! We stayed home and relaxed. I cleaned house and the kids played.

Friday - We have a busy day. Sueann, their therapist, will be here at 10 for their
normal weekly visit. I can't wait for her to see them. She had surgery and has not been here the last month and the kids are doing so much more now! After nap, we get to go see the pics from earlier this week. I am hopeful for at least one good group shot! My friend who I have not seen in many years, is coming over to see the crew and handle my Tupperware order. I was going to a MNO, but decided I want to catch up with an old friend instead.

This weekend will be a fun one - a case sale at the base, a trip to the library, friends over to visit, get Lucas' computer all hooked up, more boxes to go thru - I will try my best to find the camera battery charger and get pics on the blog sometime this weekend too! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Monday Morning Updates!

Well, it was a very exciting weekend for us. The weather was great and we got several things done. I have taken pics, but I have not unpacked the extra battery or charger, so I can not post them. Sorry!

We finally got Logan's haircut! Will also needed a trim before pictures tomorrow. Both boys look soo much older now!

Aunt Jen and cousin Rach came over on Saturday to see the new house and play with the kids. We all had a blast!

Yesterday we finished adding fish to our tank. We now have almost 15 fish in our 45 gallon tank and it looks awesome! The kids love to stand and watch the fish.

We also signed the trio up for parent & baby swim classes at the base pool! We can take all three at the same time, since they are going to have a swim aide there to help us! Classes will be for 8 Saturdays throughout the Spring starting on March 28Th.

Since the weather was so nice, we took the kids to the neighborhood park and they had a blast! Logan and Jess loved the toddler swings and slides. Will was the most unsure, but finally started to have fun right before we had to go - LOL! Jess threw a royal fit when we had to go home for dinner!

This week is a busy one for me and the crew - photos with live bunnies tomorrow, playgroup on Wed. and their therapist will be here on Friday. I promise to get back to posting more, but I will have to post at nap time - they don't like me at the desk when they want to play!

Have a great day!

Monday Update - Snow Day!

The trio are finally down for a nap, so I can update everyone. The last two weeks of Feb. went by in a blur as we were crazy busy getting everything out of the old house and into the new and trying to set up. We still have lots of stuff in the garage to go thru but, for the most part the house is looking great. Dave still needs to put more baby proofing latches in the kitchen and the pictures still need to go on the walls once I decide which ones where -LOL! Once those are up - I promise to post pics of the house. I love the more open layout and the kids are enjoying running around. I have their playroom completely triplet baby proof and they are really enjoying it. Lucas is getting comfortable at the new school and making friends. He worked hard this weekend to help Dave finish at the old house and then they had a guys night out to the movies!

Before I forget - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT K! WE LOVE YOU! It was her b-day yesterday and in all the move craziness, some of which she was involved with, I did not even send her a card! Bad Sister! I did call her and sang, but I owe her dinner next time we are together!

Now to the title of today's post - we got almost 10 inches of the heavy white stuff! I am so ready for Spring! However, Dave did not go into work until 12 and Lucas had no school, so I had help with the trio. Lucas went out with a friend to play and enjoy the day. The huskies are enjoying the weather and our next big project is to put a fence up out back for them. We can not leave them tied out by themselves per housing regulations, so a fence is the only good option. Dave put one up for them in Hawaii and did a great job and this one won't be as big. He hopes to have it up late this month.

OK, I better go eat some lunch. With the trio's new area to play ready, I should be able to get back to blogging 2-3 times a week and hope to catch up on the blogs I follow and hear from everyone.
