The Big Checkup!

I took the trio solo today to the doctor for their 3 year old well "baby" visit! It took almost 2 1/2 hours - there was the actual doctor visit, shots, flu mist, blood work and tears involved! However, they were so well behaved and did awesome! I got many compliments from the nurses and lab techs!

First up was the actual doctor visit. They did great and we got their latest stats!

Will - 26.6 lbs (5%) and 3 ft 1/2 inch (20%)

Logan - 29.2 lbs(25%) and 3 ft 3 inches(80%)

Jess - 25 lbs (3%) and 2 ft 11 1/4 inch (10%)

I knew Logan was tall, but holy smokes 80% for height! He is going to be just like his dad. Will falls right in between and on his own curve so no worries. Then at the other end of the spectrum is my peanut princess Jess - she is just so tiny, but going along her own curve so the doc was happy and has no worries at this time. Woo Hoo!!

I got the go ahead to drop the boys to 1 can of pediasure a day and the rest whole milk, while Jess stays at 2 cans and then whole milk. She was happy to see the big kid underwear on everyone, especially the boys, since they just turned 3 and said definitely don't rush the night time training, so pullups for nap and night are ok for now!

She gave everyone a full exam and there is nothing of concern right now! Logan's hernia seems to be healing as he grows so no surgery! After the visit we headed off to the immunization clinic to get a flu mist and 1 vaccine that we missed last checkup since they were sick. They all handled the flu mist well, and hated their shot, but luckily no one cried for long! The tech was smart and did everyone's flu mist first and then the shots.

Then it was off to the pharmacy to pick up some Motrin for all three and Miralax for Will and Jess to help with their constipation issues. The kids made friends and ate a snack while we waited for their prescriptions.

Lastly, off to the lab for some bloodwork. No one was happy and it was getting toward the end of their morning, but they did really well! Will went 1st and cried for awhile, until he figured out he could watch the guy put the blood from his finger into the tubes and was fasinated! lol. Jess did great and hardly cried at all. The best was Logan, who jumped into my arms while Jess was having her turn and he kept saying, "no want a turn!" hahaha It was priceless! He did have his turn and did pretty well.

I treated everyone to their favorite lunch-cheese rollups and tacos from Taco Bell, gave them some motrin and they all had a great nap! Phew!

Tonight they were a little cranky, but I am hoping that they wake up happy! Fingers crossed!
