Snow? What Snow? You Mean This Snow --

We have had crazy weather the last few weeks. It seems we get several inches of snow every week!  It was fun in the beginning, but now there is too much outside for the kids to play in!  They can't even walk around!  The last time we went out - they played in the driveway for about10 minutes before they were bored and cold so we went in.  With all the weather, my days are running into themselves and I did not realize that I did not post here last week!  So Sorry!  Basically  for the last two weeks we have been stuck inside and they are driving me crazy!

Can you spot the mailbox?  What about the crazy icicles on the house? We are getting more very nasty weather starting tomorrow - snow, sleet, freezing rain - should be fun  - NOT!! I bet the mailbox gets plowed in!
Being stuck inside does have some advantages - I am making Dave get things down around the house! I found this vinyl quote and loved it for the entryway.  I ordered some more vinyl from a triplet mom friend and once it gets here and goes up I will post more pics.  Dave has also got our saltwater aquarium up and running! We hope to get some "nemo" aka clownfish to put in it later this week once the tank has been running for a few days.  The kids are all so excited about it!

Lastly, I have been hounding Lucas to get a haircut and finally he went today. Here is the before shot-
and the "after" shot - he looks like a different kid!  Today was the start of the 2nd semester of his freshman year and he promised to wear his glasses more often!
Just for fun - to prove it has been bitterly cold here the last two weeks!
OK, I have  marked my calendar to update this blog on Mondays and Thursdays from now on. Thanks for sticking with me!

Monday Update - 1st Time Snow Tubing!

It was a crazy week here.  Dave moved to the evening shift on Tuesday and now works from 3pm til 1130pm.   The little kids and I are enjoying have him home in the mornings! He always tries to call during his lunch break to say good night to the trio and they love shouting to him over the phone.
Wednesday brought a major snowstorm!  Lucas had no school and Dave called out  at work.  We got about 13 inches of the white stuff added to the 8 inches we already had on the ground.  The trio absolutely had a blast playing outside.  We went and bought them kid sized shovels and snow tubes and they took turns sledding down the front yard! The loved making snowballs and throwing them at me.  Dave made them a snow fort and we have spent many hours outside.
As a side note, let me mention what a huge pain in the behind it is to get everyone in all their snow gear!  It takes us about 20 minutes to get them all suited up!  UGH!
I was able to attend book club on Thursday since it was after the little kids go to bed and Lucas was here in case of trouble.  Saturday Dave and I took turns watching the trio and having a few hours out of the house.  Dave went with a friend to the movies and then I went with a friend out to dinner and shopping.
The other time this past week has been spent unpacking/organizing/hanging pics around the house!  I am very happy with how the house is coming along - only a few boxes left to unapck!

Anyway, that is the latest news from the Dudley Crew.  I will leave you with a real quick video of Jess sledding.  I promise she  loved it!  I will get the boys videos on later this week!

Winter Fun! Photo Frenzy!

This year is already starting at a frenzied pace!  We are mostly settled into the rental house.  Unpacking with 3 little helpers has been interesting to say the least.  The house is really feeling like home and everyone is enjoying the extra space this house has! This past week was a blur of playtime and unpacking/ organizing.  Dave is back to work and Lucas is back to school and the little crew and I are getting used to being on our own again.  Friday night I was able to have a much needed Mom Night Out with one of my best friends and we had a blast!  The winter storm held off and we were able to have dinner, shop and chat!

Saturday was a day full of winter fun as the kids got to go out and play in the 6+ inches of snow that fell overnight.  This  was the first year that they were actually excited to get out there and play! I loved watching them just throw the snow around and laugh.    Sunday was more of the same after another 2 inches fell!  The kids asked all morning when they could go out to lpay.  Can we say 3 hour naps all weekend! I am so grateful they were able to get outside and expend lots of energy!  See -
