Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

22 Months old!!

I know that this post is late by almost two weeks, but I have been in denial. I just can't seem to get over the fact that late next month the crew turns 2! It just can't be possible that my babies are not really babies anymore! After next month we don't count their age in months anymore and that seems really weird to me! LOL!

Anyway, they are all doing great! Logan is the biggest at 23 pounds with Will a close second at 22 pounds and Jess is still only 19 pounds! The boys fit into 18 month clothes for the most part, but we do have several 12 month outfits that fit fine. Jess is in 12 month clothes, but a few 18 month things are starting to fit nicely. They are starting to really play together and it is tons of fun to watch! They love to read books and color pictures.

The biggest problem, besides all the toddler drama and meltdowns, is that my lap is no longer big enough to fit all three! They all seem to want my attention at the same time and waiting is hard for almost 2 year olds!

They love to sing songs and dance around. Well, mostly I sing, but they are starting to join in! They enjoy going to play dates and playing outside in the evening with Dave and Lucas. The love to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and the Imagination Movers. We are taking them to a Imagination Movers concert in Nov! I can't wait!

Most days they take a great 2-3 hour afternoon nap! I really have a fellow triplet mom to thank for that! (Thanks Again Helen!) She recommended the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child when the crew was just about 4months old. I read the book and implemented a schedule which we have kept to this day! I have had to tweak it as they got older, but I have been telling everybody how much I love this book! But enough about that - onto some personal stats -

William

He is still my snuggler! (Glad I at least have 1!) He loves to sit and cuddle with me or Dave and his silkie. He is still being seen by an occupational therapist for some issues with eating and stuffing his mouth. He is doing better but has also found a new trick - letting whatever he is drinking just spill all down his shirt! This is driving me nuts and I can't wait until he grows out of this phase! He also gets speech therapy, but only 1 time a month. After he turns 2, he will probably receive weekly therapy. He is doing lots of baby signs, but not a lot of actual words yet. Although, he has recently started to do the sign and say the word! He favorite word is "star". He loves to point them out whenever he sees them and have us make them with sidewalk chalk when we are outside. He is also saying - more, please, milk, eat, brush teeth, cookie, cracker, car, bath - using sign. Will gets easily frustrated when he can't get across what he wants and I hope that more speech therapy will help in this area. He is very strong willed and sometimes has meltdowns when things are not going his way. He loves to play with Logan and Jess, but he also likes to play on his own. He gets flustered when Logan or Jess get in his personal space or try to take something from him! Books are a favorite and so are animal figurines and mega blocks. He loves to pop bubbles. He still has the cutest blue eyes that always melt my heart and his laugh and smile are priceless! I truly enjoy watching him grow and learn new things everyday.

Logan

He has rightly earned the title Mr. Rough and Tumble! He is always on the move and lately seems to be trying to go faster than his legs can carry him and he ends up falling! He recently learned how to do a forward roll all by himself! He loves to run around the house and always up for a game of chase. He loves to play basketball, football and even soccer. He has a fascination with rocks and loves to dig in the dirt when and where ever he finds it. He is my best eater, but is very hesitant to try new foods. He likes his old standbys - mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, mixed veggies, cereal, cookies and crackers. He still sometimes drinks his morning milk so fast that he gets the shakes because he gets so cold! He is the biggest and sometimes uses that to his advantage to take something he wants from Will and Jess! Lately he and Jess have been playing together nicely for at least a few minutes during the day. Logan also has a noticeable speech delay like Will, but he is also doing a lot of signing. He has most of the same words as Will and is starting to say the words as well as sign. He is our little trouble maker at nap and bedtime and we had to put a crib tent up to keep him and his stuff contained! He has not tried to climb out yet, but was always throwing his silkie and pillow out. Now with the tent - he can't! Dave and I are just amazed at all the things he is learning and how fast he is growing up!

Jessica

The princess is still our peanut. She has her dad completely wrapped around her tiny finger! LOL! She may be small, but she gives the boys a run for their money. She is the most vocal and has the most words. If you pay attention she is usually easy to understand. You have to be very, very careful what you say around her, because she may just repeat whatever you said! Jess is my picky eater, but she usually gets at least 1 good meal and several snacks in a day. She loves to ask "bite?" when we either Dave or I are eating something she wants to try. We almost always let her try the food, anything to help her gain weight. We added the pediasure to her diet and really have seen no change. We go back to Yale on the 17th. Since her mom is only 5 feet tall, she may just be a short princess! She loves watch tv and hang with the boys, but also likes her alone time. She loves to look through books and have them read to her. She won't go to bed unless she has her silkie and her baby doll! She has been waking a little at night. I think it may be either new teeth or bad dreams, but whatever it is I hope it stops soon! Luckily, most times if we catch her quick she goes right back to sleep in her crib, but some days, like this morning, she had to come sleep with us since it was 5:30am and we were not ready to get up! LOL!! She is working hard at trying to flip like Logan, but just can't seem to get it yet. Jess is also very strong willed and she lets you know when things are not going her way. How you ask? She has major meltdowns! I will have to get it on video, because it is pretty crazy to hear her scream like that! Jess loves to have daddy put her hair up in pigtails and sits nice every morning for him. He lets her choose the color and she loves it!

Wow! This post got really long, but I wanted to get these things in writing before I forgot them! Thanks for sticking with me to the end and just for you a bonus pic!
