Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Monday Update

I am finally able to sit down and write up an update. It has been a busy day. We got more snow! Dave and Lucas were outside for about an hour shoveling and using the snow blower to clear away the 6 inches we received overnight. Dave and I then took the trio to a morning playgroup. It is always so much fun to hang with out with the ladies and let the kids run around! We had a great time, took the kids home and then even though they were exhausted, they fought nap tooth and nail. Will and Jess were up by 2:30 and Logan was back up around 3:00. It was a long evening here, but it was also bath night and they were all upstairs sleeping by 7:00! I love our schedule!!

Anyway, awhile back I purchased snack traps for the trio to use. I was putting cheerios in and they were very messy because they figured out how to keep the trap open and cheerios went flying everywhere! I put them away to try again in a few weeks. The yahoo triplet group was talking about them last week, so I brought them back out and tried bigger snacks as was suggested (thanks again Helen!) What a huge difference! I put chex cereal or goldfish in them every morning now and they love them! and the best part - really no mess! I do want to get them a table and chair set to have snack on soon, but for now these traps are fantastic! I highly recommend them.

Next week is a big week. The trio have their 15 month appointment on Mon. the 26Th! Somehow with all the Christmas craziness I forgot a 14 month post! I promise to put together an update post with all the weights and stats and new stuff they are doing after the appointment. Tuesday we are having a new photo done. I was not planning on any more til Spring pics at 18 months, but for $30 Charleens is having a photo contest and I could not pass it up!

In totally unrelated news, I have not posted about this, but I have not been 100% for a while and even going to the gym everyday, I have only lost 2 lbs! It has been very depressing and frustrating. I am also getting my "monthly visitor" more than I should, so I had an appointment and the doc sent me for blood work, and I have an ultrasound this week. They took 5 vials of blood and I had to pee in the cup! Between all that lab work and this ultrasound I hope to find out what is going on. Please let it be nothing serious! I won't know the results until the 28Th, so keep me in your thoughts!

See, I told you next week was BIG! OK, I better get the rest of the nightly chores done - those sippy cups don't make themselves! Have a great night!

Thanks for the award!

I have been given a blog award! Thanks Maggie! I was given another award a while back from Nicole and since I was new to this whole blogging thing, I was unsure how to post it or what to do. I am still rather computer illiterate, so please bear with me, as I can not figure out how to link their sites, but they are all in my blog roll on the left. I want to continue to share the love and offer the award to 10 fellow bloggers. I had a very hard time choosing, because I have 20 blogs on the blog roll! I feel that all 20 are great blogs that I really enjoy so please go visit and read about all the awesome families! Even if you are not on the list, please accept the award and spread the love. Since I have to pick 10 - In no particular order:

Raising Triplets in High Style

The Becklets

Raising Kanes

What a Trip!

Surviving Triplets

Corcoran Crew

Three Times the Giggles

Pyjammy's Blog

Houghton Crew

Triplets Plus One

Please go check them out! I will have a regular Monday blog tomorrow!

A Quick Update

Somehow it does not feel like a Tuesday already! I really don't have much to report, so here goes:

1. Logan is handling whole milk! We ran out of soy milk last week and decided to try again giving him whole milk since it has been a few weeks. I hope I did not just jinx it! LOL His hernia is still pretty bad, we see the doc on the 26Th for their 15 month well baby appointments and I will be asking more questions then. Please pray that it starts to heal and won't need surgery later this year!

2. While at a birthday party yesterday, Jessica went down the big slide all by herself! My friends' twins turned 2 and they had a great party at an indoor play area. The boys were cautious at first, but warmed up to all the activity. Jess, being the fearless one, decided that the slide looked fun. After my friend went with her a few times, since I was holding Logan, Jess decided to go it alone! She had a blast and the only really problem was getting her to not climb up the slide after she was down!

3. I think we are finally done with runny noses. It took about a week to go thru all three, but they seem much happier, except for Will who is still extra snuggly and running low grade fever every now and then, but is otherwise fine. Aunt Jen was just over and Will gave her some snuggle time!

4. Lucas is doing better in school and I think the medication is helping him. He stays after for extra help and is actually starting to enjoy reading. He read 20 chapters of a Harry Potter book over the weekend! I am anxiuos to see report cards next month.

5. Vani is coming!!! We talked to her over the weekend and she has her plane tickets! She will be back to visit for about 2 weeks in April - I can hardly wait! I have really missed her and am really looking forward to seeing her.

Ok, I guess I had more to report than I thought! Since the pudding videos were such a big hit, I thought I would close with 2 more very quick videos of the kids trying out their basketball hoop. It is getting harder to get good pics or video because every time they see the camera, they stop and want to see the pics! Anyway, Enjoy!

The Great Pudding Experiment!

Since I was bad at posting late this week, we had furnace issues - don't ask! I thought I would make up for it by sharing some new videos!

I have been reading my fellow triplet mom Helen's blog at Triple the Giggles and as you can see by her header, she has been brave enough(or foolish enough - LOL) to give her trio chocolate pudding not once but twice and I figured if she could, so could I! I of course waited until Dave was home to enjoy this with me! Enjoy!

Eventually everyone was really enjoying themselves!

We forgot to get "after" pics of the boys, but Jess is a great example of what they looked like! You can bet it was a bath night tonight!

1st post of 2009!

Wow, finally getting back to "normal" after the holidays. We had a great time, but we were busy, busy, busy! Today is the start of a regular work week for Dave after holiday stand down and even though we had fezzing rain come thru last night, after a 2 hour delay Lucas is back in school! Of course this also means that I am on my own again during the day with the trio. It was lots of fun having the guys around to help out - they did lots and helped keep everyone fed, washed, dressed, and otherwise content! I missed them today!

The crew is fighting a little bug. It started with Jess but now the boys have runny noses and sound a little congested. It is impacting their eating and drinking a little, but no fevers and they seem to be battling and winning! They are a little more snuggly -(not a problem - I love snuggletime!) and a little more cranky, but I think we are on the downhill part and it won't last long. We have been extremely lucky in that they really have not gotten sick over the last 14 months, so I guess we were overdue! LOL

We had a 1st today - Our 1st official biting! Logan was riding along on his little toy, when Will went over to play. Next thing I know Logan is getting mad about Will's hand on the steering wheel, he leans down, and BAM - Will is screaming as his finger is in Logan's mouth! I immediately told Logan "no biting" in a stern voice - startled him and then he was screaming too! Fun times! I checked Will's finger out and saw the teeth marks - that really had to hurt- those little teeth are sharp!
I hope this is not an new phase but if it is it better be over very quickly here at the Dudley house!

OK, I hear someone getting up from nap. I'll close with this extra cute pic of Dave and the crew. They have LOVED having him home all day!
