Sorry for the lack of posts last week. It has been pretty rough here. Jess started feeling bad on Tuesday night and was looking pretty sick by the time the visiting nurse got here to get every ones weights. She checked Jess over and other than the run of the mill head cold, did not find anything to concern us. The best news was that everybody gained weight! Logan gained almost a pound, Will about 1/2 pound and Jess only gained 4 oz, but at least she gained!
Whatever Jess had quickly spread and by Thurs, everyone in the house was having a few symptoms. Logan had a runny nose and low grade fever, Will has been running a fever of 101 and been extra snuggly. He also vomited all over Dave yesterday! Lucas has been complaining of a sore throat and even Dave and I were hit. Dave, as usual seemed to be over it within 24 hours, but I was knocked hard and feeling sick for most of the weekend. The good news is I think the worst is over and the kids are finally acting more like themselves. Now, just to get Will feeling better!
Now, before they got sick, we had been dealing with some sleep issues. We have had the kids on a great sleep schedule since they were about 5 months old. That was when I read Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. This book was a life saver for us! It was recommended from another triplet mom from the same age triplet yahoo group and I highly recommend it any new or expectant moms. I guess about a month or so ago, both Will and Jess started waking in the night and screaming. It was hard after so many months of things going so well, and we have not found out a good reason. Logan is a trooper and never wakes and even sleeps thru the screaming! Once he is down, you don't hear from him until morning. Will and Jess on the other hand sometimes go a few days and we think we are in the clear, and then BAM! They are back taking turns waking up in the middle of the night. We usually end up putting them in bed wit us. However, I know this is really not a good option, but I can not find the book since the move anyone have any advice?
I received word late last week that my knee surgery has been scheduled for June 10th!
I have a doctor appointment this Wednesday to get all the surgery prep work done. While, I am not looking forward to surgery, it will feel great to move without pain. I have been hurting for almost 2 months now, so a few more weeks and I should be feeling great and able to get back to working out at Curves! I can't wait!
OK, one last fun thing to close. As I was typing this into the laptop, Logan got his poopy diaper off and put in the the diaper champ! LOL I guess potty training may start sooner that I thought!
