Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Visit to a Local Farm

Playgroup went to local farm in Canterbury today! The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time. We were able to feed the chickens and goats. Logan and Jess liked having all the animals around the wagon. However, turns out Will is not afraid of goats, but he definitely was not into the chickens! Whenever one came near, he started to panic! LOL

I tried to get a pic of Will with one of the goats that came up to the wagon, but was too late.

Jess was so excited to see the chickens up close!

Logan saying " Mom, when are you getting those umbrellas? It is too bright!"

Monday Update

I am a little late posting, but we had a WIC appointment this morning and the day has been flying by since! It was a great weekend here. Darcy and baby Mackenzie came over on Friday for a play date and we the afternoon just relaxing. It turns out that her husband, Travis, and Dave have a lot in common and also enjoy hanging out, so the afternoon turned into dinner, with the Boyers leaving at Mack's bedtime! It was great just to sit and relax!

Saturday started with swim lessons - and these were the best ones yet! I think the kids are really starting to enjoy our time in the pool so I have already signed them up for the next set of lessons in June.

After lessons, it was off to a local park for a Touch- A- Truck event. As the pic at the top of this post shows - Jess had a great time sitting in the drivers seat of a firetruck! There were lots of different trucks, from street sweepers, to fire and police, cranes, oil trucks, and even a news van. The boys did not like all the horns being honked, so I got no photos of them in the firetruck, but they enjoyed the news van --

Yesterday was busy running errands and Lucas got to go with Uncle Larry to see the World's Strongest Man competition at the casino!

I still have no surgery date for my knee, but it should be in the next 3 weeks or so. Stay tuned as this week Dave may actually get his final set of orders! WOOHOO!
( Can you tell I am excited! LOL)

For now, I'll just close with a cheesy pic of Logan.

Lucas

I have noticed that most of the day to day blogging I do seems centered around the triplets. Since I am home with them everyday and they are changing so much this makes sense, but I have been neglectful in my blogging about Lucas lately. This is after all our family blog, and Lucas is a great big brother!

He received the above award today at school for good citizenship, respect, and service to others. Dave and I are really proud of him! He has only been at this school for a few months and he has really tried hard. For those who don't know, Lucas has ADD and started medication several months ago. Homework and grades have always been a big issue and even bigger fights! I am very excited to see the change in him and his attitude since his diagnosis. His last report card was 3 A's and 3 B's. Believe me, that is a remarkable difference to his last report card before he started medication. We also just got his next progress report with a lot of the same grades. He has a slight problem with one class, but promises me he will bring up the grade before report cards come out.

Lucas' newest adventure - track and field for the middle school team! He has practice 3X a week and a meet usually once a week. He is participating in three events - shot put, discus, and javelin. He has been practicing hard and trying his best. Dave and I have taken his brothers and sister to watch him at a few meets already. He really seems to enjoy this and I hope he continues with it next year.

When I look at Lucas, I am staring to see the budding teenager. Not sure if I am ready for that yet! LOL

It has been a busy week here, but I felt the need to post just how proud I am of him! We love you Lucas!

Monday Morning Updates

First, a Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you great moms out there! I hope your day was an extra special one!

This weekend really seemed to fly by. Saturday swim lessons were the best ones yet. The kids all seemed to really enjoy our time in the pool. Lessons end the last week in May and I may try to find another program for the summer since they like it so much. We did a little shopping and and then relaxed and enjoyed some family time for the rest of the day.

Yesterday was a really fun day! Dave tried to let me sleep in, but the triplets had other ideas. Dave made everyone breakfast and then since it was so nice out, we took everyone to the Mystic Aquarium for the morning. We became members last month when Vani was visiting since the kids really seem to enjoy it and now it is only about 15 minutes away. It was not crowded when we got there, so we did all the indoor exhibits first, then the few outdoor ones. We had the choo choo wagon and the kids loved being able to ride, but also it was easy to take them out to walk around. Love it! We spent the whole morning and as it got crowded we came home in time for lunch and nap time. I let Dave and Lucas go see the new Star Trek movie at nap time. I was looking forward to having some peace and quiet. However, nap did not last the usual 3 hours, but only 1 1/2 and then everyone was up! When Dave got home, he let me go relax in the bedroom for a bit. Then he made an awesome dinner! It was a very nice end to my special day. He is also ordering me a triplet ring from a website, nelleandlizzy.com, that I had heard of thru Triplet Connection! I can't wait to get it!

After dinner we took everyone to the local dog park to let the huskies run off some steam. They had a great time and the kids loved all the dogs. We came home and played in the front yard until bath and bedtime!

Now to close, some random pics from the front yard yesterday. I just love watching them enjoy the outdoors!

Thank you Uncle Marc and Aunt Carol for our new playhouse! We love it!
