Jess' Big Move!

Doesn't she look cute! If you are my friend on facebook then you already now this, but I have been noticing for the last few weeks that Jess and the boys were taking forever to go to sleep at nap time and bedtime. They were playing around for over an hour some days and that means a much shorter nap and they would get up very cranky! We were always planning on moving Jess to her own room, but were hoping to wait until we moved. Other triplet moms with same age triplets have been having similar issues and said separation was the way to get nap back! I did not want Jess to think the move was a punishment and Aunt Jen had a great idea - move her into a big girl bed! So we talked it up big, went and let her pick out new bed sheets and a bed rail and last Saturday at nap we made the move! I am very excited to say it has gone very smooth! Logan and Will were a little upset the first few times, asking for Jess, but they have been sleeping like champs! I have my 3 hour nap back and still get 11 - 12 hours a night from them!! Jess has done great too! Since she is technically in the playroom, I was expecting lots of getting out of bed, but so far *knock on wood* nothing! She has stayed in bed. She definitely takes longer to fall asleep, maybe 30 - 45 minutes to the boys 10, but she just sits in bed and plays with her stuffed animals until she falls asleep!

Berry Picking and Random Photos!

I know that I have gotten behind again, so this post is picture heavy! We took the trio berry picking about a week ago. They had a great time and ate their weight in strawberries! We are hoping to go back again very soon!

We went to a little town carnival and the kids got airbrush tattoos! They all picked dragon ones - Jess' was as big as her arm see-

The weather was nice and we have been spending lots of time outside and both boys love to play in the dirt and get messy! Here is Logan right before bathtime!

We brought out the pool and the kids loved it! I enjoyed the new shade canopy!

My poor husky Shasta has to put up with lots of toddler shenanigans! Doesn't she look thrilled! LOL!

The kids have been riding their tricycles and scooters lots, so we went and purchased helmets. The little kids loved them so much the first day we got them they wore them to one of Dave's softball games!
They are really enjoying spending so much time outside either riding bikes, using sidewalk chalk or blowing bubbles! We have even ventured to a few playgrounds nearby and I am amazed at how much more brave they are this year! They love to climb and slide and swing!

Dave's Navy Retirement Ceremony!

We had a pretty busy week getting ready for Dave's ceremony. He was pretty nervous the night before, he hardly slept at all, but everything went great! We had beautiful weather and the kids were very well behaved. I was so excited that both my dad and my sister made the trip up from PA to be with us. It meant lots to Dave and I! We had a little reception afterwards, where I met the Commanding Officer of the Navy Legal Service Office North Central who came up from Washington D.C. to be at Dave's ceremony!! and for all our Navy friends - I got my own set of Dolphins!!

Now the job hunt begins in earnest and then the house hunt! Please say a few prayers!

My dad took some great shots of the ceremony which I will close with! Enjoy!

Another Post to Catch Up!

I don't know why I have been having such a hard time keeping this blog updated lately! I guess all my facebook time, keeping the 365 blog updated, and taking care of three 2 1/2 year olds is catching up with me!

Last week was really not much to post about anyway. Dave started his terminal leave from the Navy and was busy job hunting and getting ready for his retirement ceremony while helping me with the trio. We were busy, but nothing really blog worthy. That is until Friday.

My poor princess is having more gastro-intestinal issues. We have been battling her chronic constipation since she started eating real food! She is on miralax and also a high fiber pediasure. It has been difficult to get the right amount of fiber and medicine into her. It seems she is either constipated or has diarrhea. Both of which are extra hard to deal with now that she is potty trained! Anyway, on Friday while she was straining to poop, she pushed out what I thought was an inch of her intestine! I was able to get it back in, but immediately called her pediatrician for advice! We were told to up the miralax and fiber to get things moving and to go to the ER if it happened again and would not go back in! They made us an 8 am Monday morning appointment. I was a nervous wreck all weekend, but we got things under control and saw the doc first thing Monday. She referred us back to the pediatric GI specialist at Yale. She also gave me more things to be on the look out for and when to head to the ER. Luckily, through all this Jess has never been in any pain except one time she told Dave it hurt to poop. Please pray that this is not a major setback!

The weekend weather was beautiful and we spent lots of time outside! Saturday we decided to tackle our gargage. Have you seen the show "Hoarders"? Our garage should be on there! LOL! When we moved into the house, everything from the basement plus some extra got jammed into the garage. We know we will be moving here very soon and I did not want to move with all that crap! My neighbor found out she is having twins and needed some baby gear. Another neighbor just a few houses down is also having a baby and needed gear. We took the stuff out on the driveway to go thru it and sold $160 worth of baby gear! and made a major dent in the garage in the process! Woo Hoo!!

Sunday we had a photographer friend, Becky Anderson, take pics of the trio at Avery Point. We have never had outdoor shots taken and I wanted new shots since they have changed so much since their 2 year photos! The weather cooperated and so did the kids for the most part! Becky did an amazing job! She has a sneak peek on her photography blog at www.beckyandersonphotography.com Please go and check them out! I can tell that I am going to have a hard time choosing which ones I want, because so far I want them all!!!

OK, that gets us back to this week. The kids had school on Monday, lots of errands Tuesday and then therapy sessions today for speech and occcupation. Dave had his rehearsal for Friday and a softball game tonight. Tomorrow is more of the same and my sister and neice get into town!!! They are staying all weekend and I am very excited to relax and hangout with them!

I will post pics this weekend of the ceremony so stay tuned!

WOW! I am way behind!

I can not believe that it is already May 10Th and I have not blogged since I came back from my cousin's wedding! Well, hang on tight because I have lots to tell you!

First, don't they make a great looking couple? It was an absolutely amazing day! The weather was warm, almost summery, and the ceremony and reception went great. It was nice to enjoy time with my grandma, who turned 97 in Jan! I was able to show her pictures and videos of the kids on my laptop. I also spent lots of time talking with my sister, dad, cousins, aunts and uncles! Gotta love a large Italian family! I missed the kids, but called often to check on things.
Here is my beautiful niece Kayla coloring before the ceremony.

Since the weather was so nice before the wedding, my sister and I bought flowers and took them to mom's grave for an early Mother's Day! I find myself thinking of her lots and really missing her, but I know she is watching over us. Love you Mom.

Anyway, I came home and the kids were very excited to see me! They were all cuddling and climbing all over me! It felt great!

Last week was a bit hectic - trying to get the house back in order and keeping the kids entertained took lots of my time! The weather was very odd. One day super hot and sunny, the next spring thunderstorms, then cold. It made playing outside difficult, but we tried to get out at least a little everyday. Will and Jess had a blast running around outside during one of the many rainstorms! Logan stayed under the front porch with me nice and dry! LOL

This weekend we got brave and took the kids for ice cream cones! They had a blast! Luckily, it was bath and laundry night! : )

Yesterday was Mother's day and I had a great day! Dave let me sleep in and had breakfast waiting for me! The kids gave me lots of cuddles and kisses and we went out for lobster for dinner! YUM!

The kids enjoyed feeding the striped bass oyster crackers while waiting for dinner!

I can't wait to frame this and put it on my wall! I love it!

OK, I think that brings us back up to speed! Except for one thing - today is Dave's last work day in the Navy! He goes on leave tonight until June 30 which is his official retirement day! We are having his ceremony on May 21st. The job hunt has begun in earnest and we really hope to hear something soon! We really can't house hunt until we know where his job will be and it is stressing me out! I just want to be settled and being in limbo sucks! I promise to post as soon as we hear anything and if you have time a few prayers would be great!
