Intro.

Kris and Dave met 19 years ago while Kris was in college and Dave was on his first of several enlistments in the Navy. We have 4 beautiful kids. Lucas is 16 and he is the best big brother ever! He loves his brothers and sister. He has been waiting a very long time to be the "big brother".

William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Doctor appointment and Toy Chaos!

I was told that my pediatrician was leaving the base and I wanted to get one last appointment with her and get her recommendation on who we should start seeing and what we should do if anything about the kids little quirks - Jess and weight gain, Will and some sensory issues and speech and Logan and his speech.
I was especially grateful for the appointment after the weekend we had with Will's fever reaching 103.5! I was very lucky - Dave was able to get the day off since after the triplets appointment, I had an appointment for my knee and then Lucas and I had dental appointments. We met with the doctor at 10am. It turns out that the doctor is not leaving until much later this year! She is apparently having some surgery next month but is only going to be out of the office for 3 weeks.

We got some good news! Jessica has finally started to gain on her curve! She is still only at the 1% but getting closer to 2%! The pediasure and whole milk with carnation instant breakfast are working! Woohoo!! Jess is still having constipation issues and the doctor prescribed Miralax to help. I hope we get it under control. I want to start officially potty training her as she has been showing the most interest and has gone pee several times on the potty. She has no other issues right now, in fact she is doing very well with speech and fine motor skills. Her gross motor stuff is a little immature but not any concern at this point.

Logan is also benefiting from the extra calories and is growing like weed! He is in the 90% for height! His weight is only 25 lbs so she wants him to stay on the same regiment as Jess. As far as his speech, she really wants Birth to Three to focus on his speech, but she feels that he understands tons and will start to talk when he wants to!

Will is still sick! She took a long time listening to his chest and then ordered a nebulizer treatment. He sounded lots better afterwards, so she prescribed treatments for an upper respiratory infection for the next several days - I guess the fever this past weekend was really fighting off something! As far as his speech and sensory issues, she is not really concerned yet - no red flags - but we are to keep an eye on him and work with Birth to Three on a few things - speech being the biggest concern at this point.

All in all a very informative appointment! and more importantly I feel like I am actually doing something right for the kids!

I am so tired of the playroom chaos! The room starts out looking like this-

but ends up looking like this after only a few minutes! I want to figure out a better storage system. It seems whenever they are bored they go in there and take everything out! Any ideas?

Who Knew ---

a paper shredder would be soo much fun and keep the kids busy for 20 minutes! I was doing my yearly paper purge and the kids had a blast helping me! I loved hearing the laughter as the paper was sucked up by the shredder!

Anyway, this weekend was tough. Will was still running a fever between 101 - 103 even with Motrin and Tylenol. Luckily, he was still sleeping well and it finally broke Sat night. *knock on wood* Logan and Jess have not gotten sick!

Dave and I went to the movies this weekend! Sounds like fun right? It was, but we did not go together! LOL Dave and Travis took Lucas to see Avatar on Sat. Then Darcy and I went to see The Blind Side yesterday. It was an amazing movie - I highly recommend it!

Today it was back to reality as Lucas was at school, Dave at work and I was home with the trio. Will started back to school today as well and after we picked him up -

This is what happens when you don't listen to mom and RUN INTO the snow instead of going to the house for nap time!

Happy New Year! and A New Project!

I can't believe that it is 2010! The years are seeming to go by faster and faster. We rang in the new year here at home with Boyers! We had great evening of good food and conversation! We put the triplets to bed at 8 and they slept until 7:45 this am!

I have decided to work on a new project for 2010 - a 365 Blog!
I am going to attempt to capture our year with a photo a day! I am by no means a good photographer, but I want to really try my best to capture what I am sure is going to be an interesting year. Lucas will be starting high school in the fall, and we will be potty training and making the move to big kid beds with the triplets. There will be holidays, swim lessons and I am sure lots of other crazy adventures throughout the year that I will want to capture along with everyday life.

I plan to take at least one pic a day and post them every few days, so please come along and enjoy the photos! The website is www.Dudley365.blogspot.com

Last Post of the Year- Christmas Recap!

OK, I know that Christmas was last week, but with the kids getting sick and us geting back from PA - I have been a little busier than usual! LOL
We had a great time seeing the extended family over the holidays! The kids handled all the new people, extra noise, new foods and schedule changes like champs! Their travel peapods worked awesome! Jess would get so excited at bed time saying "sleeping bag, sleeping bag!" But before I get into that -

A few days before we left for PA, a friend brought over the trampoline for the kids. They love it and bounce alot of energy away! Dave, myself and the little guys attened the playgroup christmas party the weekend before christmas. The kids ran around, enjoyed the time with their friends and saw Santa! He even handed out presents! Will wanted nothing to do with him, but Logan and Jess waited for their turn and enjoyed unwrapping their gifts.

Jessica was exhausted after the party!

We were also very fortunate to have visits from both the Roach's and Cornoyers before we left. The kids enjoyed the company and opening more gifts! While they may not be family by blood, they always treat us like we are! Love you guys!

We headed down to PA on the 23rd at nap time in our fully loaded van. The kids slept most of the way and we were at my Aunt and Uncle's in little over 3 hours.
We had dinner out with my dad at a pizza place I used to work at while in high school! The owner was excited to see me and my crew! The kids behaved for the most part, but Logan had a meltdown towards the end. I think he was just tired of sitting!

My sister and I made a trip to the cemetary on Christmas eve. We had a little trouble finding the right spot (the snow did not help!), but we finally found my mom's marker. It is beautiful! I wish I took a pic, but that will have to happen next time. We also uncovered my grandma and grandpa's markers right next to mom. We stayed for a while and let ourselves grieve.
Then it was back to start enjoying the festivities!

Christmas eve is always at my Grandma Guerrise's. She is 98 and full of spunk! She insists that dinner be at her house and only in the last few years have her and my great aunt accepted help with all the crazy cooking that is involved! They usually start prepping the week before!
There were more than 25 people for dinner and even more relatives came after dinner! It is always lots of fun with all the family and great food! Here are just a few pics from the event.

Christmas morning the kids were very excited to see all the gifts under the tree! We opened gifts from Santa and played with a few new toys until Aunt K and Kayla came by and they got even more! It was awesome to see them so excited! Makes me excited for next year when I think they will actually understand a little more about "Ho Ho" as Jess calls him!

While the kids had naps, we ate dinner! It was nice to sit down and eat a meal without worrying about the kids. Turns out Logan and Jess were getting sick, so they napped pretty good. After nap was a trip to my other Aunt and Uncle's and even more presents! The kids enjoyed hanging out with more relatives. We tried to get the kids to eat, but were pretty unsuccessful. I was glad that I brought a case of pedisure with us! At least we were able to keep them hydrated. Jess had a rough night of sleeping, and ended up with us, but the boys slept fine in the peapods.

Here are just a few pics of our christmas day fun!

The day after christmas both Logan and Jess were sick. They were running fevers, had nasty coughs and still not eating. We quickly packed up the van, even more loaded than when we arrived, and made a hasty retreat back to CT. Thanks to Aunt Claire and Uncle Bill for all the help with the kids and for hosting us! I hope no one gets sick!

Doesn't Jess look pathetic!

Everybody seems to be on the mend for the most part. The nurse came yesterday and Logan and Jess lost quite a bit of weight. I scheduled doctor visits for all three next week to make sure nothing else is going on because Will is starting to run a fever again!

Wow! This post is very long! I wanted to catch up before the year was over. Sorry, but I hope you enjoyed all the pics!

I want to close by wishing everone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2010!
