I was wanting to get this posted yesterday, but with the snow day and having everyone home it never happened. Dave was only at work for 2 hours and they sent him home and Lucas did not have school. We did not get a lot of snow - an inch or two, but lots of sleet and freezing rain - it made for treacherous driving. So much so that Lucas has a 2 hour delay today. My doctor appointment was cancelled until Monday also. All that to say sorry for the delay - onto the update!
JESSICA

I usually always go in birth order when I do updates and that puts Jessica last, so this time I thought I would change it up and go in reverse birth order! Jessica is still the smallest, but makes up for it in attitude! She and Logan are constantly trying to be top dog. She is walking like an old pro, loves to hold and feed her baby doll, is the neatest eater- even trying to start using a spoon and fork, and she is doing the best with baby sign. Jess loves to have "pretties" otherwise known as the tiny rubber bands for pigtails in her hair. Dave usually does this in the morning when they get up before he heads off to work. I have tried a few times, and can sort of do it, but he is really good at it! I have never had long hair - so this is all new territory for me. Jess loves to hide under blankets, use the ride on toys and shoot hoops with her brothers. She is very attentive and loves to learn new things. She has started to try dancing with music when its on. Jess has the biggest vocab of the trio. She says mama, dada, and got it, but she uses several baby signs - milk, more, all done, please, cereal, eat, signing time, baby, and brush teeth to name just a few. She also understands several more like sit, no, cookie, drink, and help, but has not started to use them just yet. Jess is lots of fun and always makes us smile. Uncle Larry has been teaching her to stick out her tongue and look - now she does it!

LOGAN

Logan is a treat. He is the biggest by about a pound and almost two inches! He has a great laugh that just melts my heart. He is also walking like an old pro, riding the toys, and fighting with his brother and sister. He loves to play basketball and really loves to spin the wheels on the toy cars. He has a few words - mama, dada, got it, and something that sounds like "what's this?" Logan signs more, eat, all done, and brush teeth, but understands most of the same ones like his sister. He is a messy eater, but really enjoys his food - you can always hear him humming during mealtimes! He has faced the most difficulties during his first year, and still has some muscle tone issues on his right side. He gets special therapy for it a few times a month. Like I mentioned last post, his hernia will be monitored over this year and hopefully be gone by the fall or he will need surgery. He hates getting in trouble and usually falls down in a heap crying when scolded. Logan, along with Will and Jess, love to look at books and have them read to them, but fights ensue over who gets to sit in my lap! He is usually found with a thumb in his mouth or near it and loves to dance by standing at the gate and swinging his body around. Just recently he has started to use his size to push Will and Jess out of the way when he wants something. He loves bath time and makes the biggest splashes - just ask Aunt Jen!

WILLIAM

Will is a great baby. He is my snuggler. Whenever you pick him up, he just settles right into your shoulder and relaxes- priceless! Will started walking last, but is now just as fast as the other two. He was very unsure about the basketball hoop, but now loves to play with it. He usually lets Logan and Jess do the fighting and is very happy to stay out of it. Will says mama, dada, got it, baby, and something that sounds like "what's this?" He signs more, all done and brush teeth, but understands the same ones as J and L. He is the messiest eater and always stuffs his mouth - can we say chipmunk? He shows no interest in spoon or fork, but we keep trying. Will is definitely the more sensitive guy and really takes a bit to warm up to strangers. He hates elevators and large crowds make him nervous. Still hates to have photos done as I found out on Tuesday. Will is always watching and learning new tricks. Dave taught him "high 5" the other day and it is soo cute! Will has a great smile. One of his favorite things to do is chase Lucas around - he laughs so much.
