William, Logan and Jessica were born Oct.25 2007 at 33 weeks and 5 days! They only spent 10 days in the NICU and came home on their big brother's birthday- Nov. 5 !! This blog will be about the ins and outs of our crazy life.

Weekend Update

Grandma and the gang

Cousin Michele and the gang

It has been another busy weekend. Saturday had us outside almost all day. We drove about an hour to a summer picnic put on by the New England area triplet moms. It was a ton of fun and we met lots of nice people. It was great to see older sets of triplets. We met two other sets of infant triplets. It was great to talk with people you can totally relate to what is going on in our lives!

We left that picnic early to attend Rachael's graduation party. It was another awesome time and there were plenty of friends to hold babies which gave me and Dave a break! It was a fun time and the food was excellent. I always enjoy hanging out with friends and the weather was perfect.

Today was more relaxed. We took the triplets for a walk in their new stroller to the school playground and they were on the swings with us and down a few slides. I think that they all enjoyed it. After their long nap, cousin Shell and Grandma played for a while and then said goodbye. ( Thanks for coming to visit Shell - I hope you had a great time - we sure did!) Grandma - you better rest up! I am going to need you when we move to Groton! Anyway I am glad that you were both here. It was lots of fun.

It feels very weird in the house to just be the six of us. The triplets are in bed and the boys are watching TV. I am sitting here working on the blog and missing Vani. It just feels not right some how. After I get the pics from my cousin I will post them.

Oh, I almost forgot the best news of the day- LOGAN CRAWLED !!!!!! It was not very far- about 6 inches, but he worked really hard and he did it!! Will and Jess were also busy rolling everywhere and Will was able to scoot backwards , so I don't think that he will too far behind. OK, that's it for tonight. Can you believe that the trio will be 8 MONTHS OLD on Wednesday! I will post an update then.

Wow - long time sorry!

Hi Everybody !
I am so sorry that it has been so long between this post and my last one. A lot of stuff has been happening and it has been extra busy. Where to start? Bear with me -this may seem a bit scrambled.
Dave drove down to PA on the 13Th. He went to my sister's and picked up our newest purchase. What do you think?

I am super excited about the new stroller. It is called a Run About -otherwise known as an RA in triplet circles. I was able to buy it off a triplet family that lives close to my sister for $200!! I also got the cover and sun canopy and trailer carrier included. This stroller retails for about $800 brand new - so you can see why I am so excited! We can't wait to get the trailer hitch on the van and start using it.

My mom came up with Dave when he was on his way home. It has been fun watching the kids interact with her. We have been enjoying our visit with her. My cousin Michele came up to spend a few days and the babies are enjoying all the extra attention. Michele and Mom and I went to Foxwoods casino last night and had a great time. My mom was the big winner $1000.00 !! Tonight we are going to see Howie Mandel at Mogehan Sun. I hope it is a good show.

The other really big news -- Will has not one but 2 teeth!! All of a sudden over the weekend he sprouted one tooth and then the next day another one. He has been drooling tons, but we were very shocked to say the least! Jess is also working on tooth #2 and is a bit more fussy then normal. Today she is not eating like normal, but I guess her teeth are bothering her. Logan is still all gums, but I can see a spot where a tooth is starting to pop. We were finally able to get teeth pics -

Will and his 2

Jess and her 1

Can I just say how hard is it to get pics of baby teeth! It was a major pain in the know know what. After many attempts we finally used orange flavored tongue depressors to get the shots.

What else? Oh the boys love sitting the in the exersaucers and playing with all the toys and "talking " to each other. Once I figure out how to post video - I'll upload it. We also bought a little kiddie pool and they sat and played with toys for the 1st time yesterday. Jessica really loves the water. William also seems to enjoy himself, but looked very serious. Logan was again the most unsure. It took him quite a while to really get into the idea and by that time playtime was over.

The last big news for today - Our exchange student Vanessa is off traveling New England with her mom and dad! They arrived on Monday and stayed until Wed. Dave took off work and showed them the Nautilus museum and sub base. They rented an RV for their trip and will be gone until July 2. It was a lot of fun to meet and hangout with her parents. They brought everyone really cool gifts from Germany. It is very very weird not to have Vani here with us. We will get to see her for a few more days from July 2 until we take her to the airport July 5. I am not looking forward to having to say goodbye. It has been a great year with her and I will miss her very much. I know that mom and dad are excited to have her back, but I wish she was staying with us longer.

Ok, this covers most of what has been happening - I told you it was hectic. We have a triplet picnic and graduation party on Saturday, so I will post again Sunday.

Pool Time !

It was a crazy hot day and we figured it was time for the trio to get wet so they did. Logan was the least excited about it, but after his initial shock he seemed ok and had fun. Jess and and Will really took to it and had a great time after the first few minutes. Here are a few pics. It was still very sunny and hot out so we were not out long but - enjoy anyway!

And relaxing after the hard swim while the big kids enjoyed the pool -

Look Mom - We Can Sit !

Jess looking awesome.

Then Will joined her.

Finally, Logan joined in and they all sat for a quick photo op!

Jess is by far the best sitter. She has even started to have some serious playtime with toys while she sits. Her hard part is trying to get back down!
Will is a good sitter and loves to be up - he has fallen back a few times but is really getting the hang of it and he loves the new view and has also started to play with his toys while sitting!
Logan is an OK sitter. He is still a little unstable ( Lucas' arm is right behind him in the pic!), but he gets better with every try. Logan likes to move so much - he does not like to practice sitting still! LOL

Tooth, Scoot and Drool - Oh My !

It has been a very exciting day here at the Dudley house.

Jessica has a tooth! It is not all the way thru and up yet, but you can see it and you can certainly feel it. OUCH ! She has not been extra grouchy or anything so I was very shocked when she stuck my finger in her mouth and I felt something sharp! I gave her teething tablets after she got fussy tonight and they worked great! I hope that she sleeps well.

Logan has learned to scoot backwards! He has been working really hard and rolling all over the place and starting to put his legs under him and everything. This morning and again tonight he was trying very hard to get moving and back he went. I was so excited for him and when I said so he got this huge smile on his face - it was priceless. I have been told that this is a giant step towards crawling so I think that very soon he will officially be mobile! He also has a spot that is super hard on his gums and you can see the white - so it probably won't be long now. I'll keep you posted.

William has also been rolling all over and getting himself into all sorts of trouble. He unfortunately had another first for the trio - the first boo boo. He went rolling into the corner of the entertainment center yesterday and got a nice red mark on the back of his head. We have since started baby proofing in earnest in the living room. He has mastered sitting by himself and has started playing with toys while sitting! He is drooling all over and his outfit tonight was soaked! I think that he may be starting to work on teeth too!

They have all become very active 7 month old babies (where has the time gone?) and definitely keep us busy. All I can say is Thank God for nap time.
